Getting Paid

Who pays you? How? and How Much?

Interpreters-on-Call is not a Language Service Provider (LSP). You, the interpreter, contract directly with LSPs and will be responsible for invoicing any LSP for which you have worked. Every Language Service Provider on the Interpreters-on-Call system is a potential source of income for you; you may get paid by several in a month. Interpreters-on-Call automatically creates reports for interpreters broken down by the different LSPs for which you have worked. All your call times and durations are included enabling you to generate accurate invoices. We offer similar reports for LSPs to ensure invoicing and payment is an easy process for everyone.

How it works - face to face interpreting

It is up to you and the individual LSPs to agree terms and conditions for face-to-face assignments. You will get a report from Interpreters-on-Call at the end of the month containing details of all the assignments that were allocated to you as far as the system is aware.

You can then use this report to accurately invoice for those assignments that were allocated to you through the platform.

How it works - telephone interpreting

How much you get paid is between you and each Language Service Provider. When you sign up to Interpreters-on-Call via the Interpreters Portal, we give you the opportunity to list any sector specialisms you have e.g. medical, legal, technical, which may earn you higher rates of pay. When an LSP contacts you through the system, you can choose whether to accept, or reject, their Terms and Conditions. You can work for as many or as few LSPs as you wish.
